Eduardo Guardia
Finance Minister of Brazil

Eduardo Refinetti Guardia is the current Finance Minister of Brazil.  He is an economist who graduated from PUC/SP and holds a PhD degree from FEA/USP. He was the Executive Secretary of the Finance Ministry from June 2016 to April 2018. At BM&F BOVESPA he held the positions of Chief Product Officer and Chief Financial, Corporate and Investor Relations Officer. Previously he held the positions of Secretary of the Treasury of the State of São Paulo, Secretary of the National Treasury, Deputy Secretary of Economic Policy of the Ministry of Finance and was Managing Partner of ´Pragma Gestão de Patrimônio´, CFO and IR Officer of GP Investments Ltd, Professor of PUC/SP and chaired the Board of Directors of ´Banco do Brasil´.

Mario Mesquita
Chief Economist, Itau Unibanco

Dr. Mario Mesquita is the Chief Economist at Itaú Unibanco, Brazil’s largest private sector bank. Mário Mesquita, holds a doctorate in economics from Oxford University, and was a Senior Partner at Banco Brasil Plural, a Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil, the Chief Economist at ABN AMRO Brazil and LATAM, the Economics Director at FEBRABAN, the Brazilian Bankers Federation, and was an economist at the IMF staff.
